why get chess.com membership ?

Other than the feature of looking at other chess.com members performance statuses I've been able to find a alternate or something even better all for free for each and every one of there features which makes me wonder what exactly are the benefits of having a chess.com membership. The only thing that seems to be a little more original is chess.coms live tv broadcasts but even in that i've found things similar so is there any real reason I should get a membership ?

Well, you can find alternates (youtube videos for example) but chess.com videos and articles are on more specific subjects and all done by titled players right?

sure but ive found plenty of titled players videos all analyzing games in really good detail and giving verbal explanation. You can find more specific subjects as well it just takes a little more time on your first go but if you jot down such things its super easy to come back to.

I guess it's the convenience of having them all in one place and being the quality that they are.

Personally though, I'd rather lock myself in a room with a few good books than use any online resources.

i guess so just being able to access the tools in less than 1min compared to 5-10min is convenient but really id take the extra minutes of getting the things together than paying just to able to get one thin a little faster. I agree about the book thing since books you can carry around.

I disagree that you can find titled players making high-quality and professional videos on the broad range of subjects that Chess.com offers.
