Why haven't Stockfish developers done their own AlphaZero rematch?

They complain that Stockfish was not given enough memory, was a previous version, was not allowed to control its use of time, and was not allowed to use its opening book or endgame tables.
Why not run their optimized Stockfish 9 (16GB RAM, etc) against the Stockfish 8 with 8 having the same conditions as during the AlphaZero match? Then see how well the optimized version scores against the original match version, and compare that score to AlphaZero's score. Some people here can even do that.
Wouldn't that be a more accurate way to rate AlphaZero, since only the optimized version of Stockfish is officially rated? It is better than begging Google for a rematch.
