Why I’m Quitting Chess

everyone feels this way sometimes. take a break, do something less stressful, do some fishing, and come back to chess when you are ready.

Keep playing, I only had 600 rating before and now after hold working I am arrived 2000 elo
So don't quit my friend, keep trying!

You read that right.
This is not a joke. Proof? As people in the Blogger Battle forum know, I do not believe in jokes like this.
Why am I? Here are a couple reasons:
- Lack of improvement in Blitz
- Way too many tilts
- Low rating overall
So yes, I am quitting.
I might still come online to manage my club, and finish what Daily games I have, but I quit Blitz AND Bullet. If I do come back, it wont be for a while. And I likely won’t.

Stop playing blitz.
Blitz = Tiltz
Blitz = fun
Fun =/= tilt
=> Blitz =/= tilt

You have 200 Daily Games going!? No wonder you're feeling dark and gloomy! You are burning yourself out, friend.
Put those games on vacation mode, put away all chess for at least a couple of days - a week would be better. When your stress levels come down to manageable levels, THEN consider your options.

Stop playing blitz.
Blitz = Tiltz
Blitz = fun
Fun =/= tilt
=> Blitz =/= tilt
Play bullet instead, quick and can play almost 30 games in an hour.

This is a picture of my blitz improvement over three years.
Blitz improvement is by far the most frustrating time control to improve in. I've found it's almost purely based on three things:
1. Experience
2. Opening Knowledge
3. How tired you are.
If you want to improve your blitz, I reccomend playing lots and lots of rapid. This, in my opinion, is the best way to get quick improvement. You'll notice above that my blitz saw extremely slow improvement until 1500. The reason is that I played blitz constantly, which didn't actually help my chess playing ability improve. Once I started focusing on rapid, the blitz improvement just kind of came.
Also get LOTS of sleep for blitz. When I'm tired, I think I play at a roughly 1300 level.
