Engines are even better at chess960.
The humans no longer can rely on familiar patterns and the engine outcalculates the human.

Hi, I am just wondering why chess960 is not promoted more by the chess community? We lost the memorization game by a vast margin to computers. Society in general moves towards a society of creativity and innovation. Creativity is one of the last unprogrammable features of humanity. Chess960 requires more creative, on the spot problem-solving skills than traditional chess, especially under time constraints.
I am way more impressed by somebody who is a good chess player and hasn't studied any opening or memorization pattern. If the game of chess is not adapted to the new technological context, it will lose relevancy and appeal.
In this context, I have a question: If a game starts from a never-before-played-position how well do humans against engines? Better or worse than starting from a known position?
