Why is it so Hard For People to Accept They Lost?

Writing this because I have now had several people accuse me of cheating, despite being a lowly 2100 in 3 minute blitz. I used to play competitively, but nowadays just log in here to play blitz for fun (what can I say? Life happened hahaha) Nowadays, I just laugh at people who do this but are people really this hypersensitive about losing a frankly meaningless game of blitz online? I mean how would I even go about cheating in a 3 minute blitz game? 😂 By the time I would have the position uploaded into a computer, I would flag on time.

I use to think the same thing but a pro streamer said it's actually possible to cheat in bullet with the right software. Not saying you're cheating though, some people are just sore losers 🤷

That's news to me! It's been a while since I've looked into it so I'll take your word for it. Picturing it though makes me laugh, since I'm imagining some guy frantically looking between the board and the engine 😂

That's again new to me. I didn't even know that was possible.

Not much of a point, so much I've had people cuss me out and message me talking trash over a random blitz game. I had one guy actually track me down and accuse me of cheating over Facebook.

Sorry to hear that, I've been fortunate enough not to experience that. The games where I've been accused of cheating make me laugh though, since several of them (checking them on Chess.com) have my accuracy around 85. These were also games that were very long and drawn out. And I will often catch myself making a mistake, that my opponent missed, in real time. Since blitz just naturally makes you miss things at times.

I have turned off chat and people message me, man. Just happens 🤷‍♂️
