Why is my rating so crappy 😅
chess ability is indirectly proportional to how much TV we watch. i kno this to be tru b'cuz my game has vastly improved after the final season of Game Of Thrones ![]()
Except for @popesluvtuna, the three people are right. You haven't been playing chess for a long time. Only a year since 2018(?).
To get better at chess, slow games and a solid opening repitoire as well as tactics (whether you are aggressive, positional, passive-aggressive, or tactical) is the best resort for improvement. Reading books, watching videos, learning new tips and techniques, and observing games especially master games will help you a lot.
Like what @JospehReidNZ said, the more you lose, that's the rate you get. @Aizen89 and @AmandaThePawn both said that you are doing fast time controls which is not good for the beginner level, that takes a lot of experience and time to get used to.
Don't take chess too seriously long story short. Just have fun
Ratings don't matter for now, its the quality. Look at my trophy 3|0 blitz, my rate didn't improve, but I won 2nd and did well in most games especially with black pieces.
Going to OTB is also important to not only have fun, but to get better efficiently; online is really good for fun and improvement too!
Good luck if you want to get better!

yes, that is somewhat correct. Because chess is all about knowing the intricacies of knowing social world. For example, which move represent revenge, what can i do so that i can run away with my asset, what can i do to respect all my square near my king, what weakness i can create in my math problem so that i can solve. There are many more which i have forgotten right now. As Garry Kasporov had once said "chess is life"
