@Vernord00 Sorry, I'm not a chess coach.
@achja That training method is designed to make IMs out of talented young players that are already at CM level. The vast majority of players would likely benefit more from other methods of training.

Op:
One question: How much time are you willing to invest in chess?
One suggestion: Play more online games. 3-day games are very good for learning. You have plenty of time to think about every move. Start a new game, and note for every move based on what arguments you chose that move. Afterwards: Post your game and your arguments on the forum. Those arguments will help other people to see where you have thinking deficienties and what should be changed in your reasoning in order to improve.
An efficient way is to study at a chessgymnasium, like NTG in Oslo , Norway.
There is a 12 year old kid in my club that probably will be a CM in a few years, He is talented. His father has 2000 Fide. His little sister is Norwegian small kid champion. He does take Gm lessons one to one, maybe each week. He is at ca 1900 Fide now. He plays and wins a lot of tournaments.
The first step is probably to join a good chessclub.
It's not easy becoming a titled player. First you must have the talent for it and then the perseverance to build upon that talent. No one becomes a titled player overnight.
With the greatest respect to the OP when someone says they want to be a "x,y,z" I'm reminded of the wannabees on TV talent show who want to be "famous", "a star", "reverred" etc etc
Fischer said that if you want to be good at chess you've got to love the game. It's the game that's important not the bubble reputation IMHO
(Impress the Babes on Chess.com. Call Ali Bongo Baba on 111 1111 1111)
Its a fact. Most players DO NOT IMPROVE SIGNIFICANTLY over years of playing Chess. Chess.com suggest you sign up afor a coach to train you ( more expenditure ) Even Kasparov "s game deteriorated and he WENT BACK to basics........and worked his way to TOP...again. You need to ALTER "the pattern " of your moves.
@Ronnee note that the OP is 14 years old. Most 14 years old players improve even just by playing chess.

That last sentence says it all. Wise words from a player who has a correspondence rating here 500 pts above what he manages in an actual game. Fact is that if you want to play OTB, you have to move by the minute, not by the month. You can't check your moves against a database or cheat with a program.
I'd say to forget about being world standard player until you are national standard until you are state standard until you are club champion until your friends know that they are going to have to play well for a win

If a player can't find the right move when given 3 days, how will they find the move in 60 seconds? Sure, people cheat and use databases and books. If you are using it as a learning resource, and not a way to measure your genitals, then there is no problem.
According to GM Nigel Davies, correspondence chess is a valid way to improve, but of course, OTB chess is better
Play correspondence (online) chess. Don't move too quickly. Take your time and try to find the best move. Use analysis board to play through different variations. This way I improved a lot in very short time. Enter team matches where you play two matches against same player, one as white and one as black. Correspondence chess is a great way to improve your game. If you want to improve your opening, enter a thematic tournament.
Analysis Board is trash! You need to have a analysis Board in your head! You cant move pieces in OTB also.
The best way is to go an OTB tournament to figure out how the capitalism works. You touch a piece you move a piece, You cheat you loose. It's much more concrete way of learning. There is a huge differency between not existing board and an existing board (duh).
Tharinda97, that is also one of my paths. I have used som blitz 10 minutes to, to get cleaner openings. Top it with GM-lessons and the other good advices in this discussion, then you have a highway to improvement. The way is very long, so I advice much smaller gols. My first goal is to become an average good chessclubplayer, and that means Fide around 1750-rated (in my club). My second goal is to obtain chesskills with no very visible holes.
By now I am ok in some openings, but have a lot to do in the early middlegame and all the way later, and I have a lot to do in strategy, tactics, understanding and selfcontroll.
I just came across this interesting looking article :
Training with Peshk@: ELO 2400+ in two years
For everyone interested in improving their chess playing skills we highly recommend reading an article by an experienced Russian trainer Irina Mikhailova. There, she explores the possibilities computer technologies open, offers a detailed two-year plan for achieving ELO 2400 and gives advice on what courses work best for each stage of training.
Irina Mikhailova - “Modern methods in training chess players”
Though I think ChessOK products are quite useful for people who are serious about their chess training, I want to mention that this "modern method" article has been rewrited 1 or two years ago and references to old products have been replaced with new products.
Please also note that this training regimen has been designed for people rated 2200+ who want to become IMs
