Why not to use chesskid

A lot of people here on Chess.com were originally from Chesskid and there's a reason. It sucks. Let's start with the cons because there might not be any pros:

Cons:

  1. USELESS bots  (The bot doesn't move and even as black you can eat all of your own pieces and theirs and several other illegal moves)
  2. The animations are TERRIFYING (Look into their eyes... they will steal your soul)
  3. 8.5/10 of the players barely know how to move and will explode if you castle or en passant or promote etc.
  4. It just sucks

Pros:

1. Oh lookie monkey haha

TL;DR: chesspawn>>>>>>peshka(chesskid)

this place is entirely too kiddified as it is; baby crap everywhere; omg awards, anime "coach" holy bland pablum bordering on putrid you've just got to get rid of it all and stop these pajamas wearing so-called developers from adding design. For crying out loud design is removing, not adding endlessly. How amateurish. Descriptive Notation needed as is the elimination of the botwall, and of course, end all the bots. Get some class, stop taking people."

Could you please explain that?

ChessKid gave me the start into competitive chess from a young age. I don't care what you say, I will always be grateful to ChessKid.

They have different demographics and therefore will foster a different experience than a more serious chess site. It feels unfair to compare a site dedicated to teaching children the game of chess to a competitive online chess site.
