I'm a new player, so I'm not sure if it's like that at the high ratings, but why is everyone so r-word at the games? all they do is keep trying to apply tiktok tricks and ridiculous mates that everyone knows, what's the point? even if you win by using a tiktok mate (which probably doesn't happen so much), doesn't even mean that you're good, you're not even thinking. I just started playing, but it's really annoying to play chess, no fun at all

Some of those “TikTok tricks” might just be people trying tactical sequences. If you’re 1000, you will have quite a lot of different chess enthusiasts of varying stages of competency for the core skills. It’s a bit of a mash-up! If you improve, so will the level of chess of your opponents :)

Bro buts annoying af, I started playing some days ago and I don't see myself watching videos of tricks to prank someone. Why would anyone do that? It's even funny? Chess would be funnier if people start playing by their creativity, instead of being pricks. But ok, if I improve someday, I'll probably find less people playing like that
So don’t play chess then.
