Well in some ways it would make more sense for the Queen to be a General, but then again chess isn't exactly a realistic simulation of a war. It is more of a metaphor for war and to some extent life in general in my opinion.

You got it wrong. Queen is not the General. The man standing beside the King is the General and many people mistakenly call HIM queen. Queen sits in the palace watching TV all the time.

that's what i thought when i first started playing chess. then i realized the more pieces you have, the easier it is to torture your opponent. just make sure not to promote too many pieces, or else it will be stalemate

No soldier can be promoted to a general in the real world dude..and also YES a soldier CAN have utterus, there are female sodiers grow up we r not in 200 B.C.
hey manic Do u think Generals are born general. He starts off as a soldier then brigadier then Colonel and finally General. To know the full hierarchy do some research. And for uterus they can always fit one by a minor surgery. And give me names of some women Generals.

Slightly off topic. What piece/ object do you use to act as the 2nd (or 3rd) queen? A chess set has only 1 queen per color.
