why so many stalemates?!

I end up in a lot of stalemates, I also am only just learning what goes where on the board. should I change my technique somehow? I'll take any pointers.

FOLLOW THE THREE T's!

step 1:take your time

step 2:think about your move

step 3:tell yourself "does the opponent have legal moves if I go here?"

if in 1 minute game: do not play 1 minute games.
