Why titled players play bullet without increment !?

Most popular time control for titled player or just very strong category players often 1|0 mins WITHOUT increment !  I just don't understand why ?

Would it be better play 2|1 mins , which is still bullet ?

Some people may say , we'll 2|1 almost not a bullet or no fun to play or too slow etc.... OK OK !

WHAT ABOUT 1|1 mins then !? What's wrong with that? In my opinion 1sec increment is not that much and games are still quick and exciting and it also prevent stuff like mouse slips, better endgames etc...

They play for fun. No increment is exciting

In my opinion 1|1 min is way more exciting

I cannot physically move quickly enough to play 1|0.

1 min bullet allows games to be decided by time management, as well as skill on the chessboard.

And 1|1 doesn't?  Hmm. .....

Of course you are entitled to your own opinion, and should play what ever time limit you enjoy. But by their choice, the strongest players have strongly preferred to play without an increment.

It is easier to beat high rated players in 1/0 than it is in 1/1.

Many players have the time to put up a good defense in 1/1 or 2/1, but in 1/0, you can get away much more often with blunders of your own and even win with a queen down.

Chess often becomes Anti-Chess when you play 1/0 or 30 second games..... wink.png That is where people say bullet is retarded. But this only applies to the faster bullet. You still need a fair amount of skill to play 2/1 or 1/1 (and not lose on time in the end).

Titled players play 1/0 because if they lose, they can say it was not serious....

I'm sorry but this is funny. We are talking about time preference. You should start another rematch thread instead. That goes well around here, lol ....

Should be what ALL chess is about. It is a GAME.

Wrong.

Chess a profession for (super) GM's, and bullet is the fun part of their profession.

Fine,...for 99.999% of chess players, it is a game played for fun. Even very few titles players make it their profession.

Well, maybe titled players just like to play bullet without increment. I mean, it’s their opinion!

ChessOfficial2016

Playing bullet without an increment is faster than playing bullet with increment.
