And there was me thinking this was some sort of anagram of anglo-aural ill trysts.

If he does win, they'll certainly have to rename the sport Soder-ball. And it'll be his third norm, so he can upgrade his name to Batman finally...

haha...
Seems difficult tought
Yeah, my brother has just dismissed the idea of Rafa losing, and I'm inclined to agree.
If Soderling is not too nervous playing in the final again, then the great Nadal is seriously in trouble
Well, he did throw him around like a rag doll last year, but somehow I don't think Rafa will be quite so lethargic this time.
It'll be great if Soderling does win, if only to shut Tony (or is it Toni?) Nadal up, who was entirely uncouth and disrespectful after the 2009 match (Miguel is clearly the better uncle!).

What did Tony/i say last year?
He was basically insulting the Parisian crowd for cheering on Soderling, saying that Rafa was a great champion and deserved their respect, apparently to the extent that the crowd should go into mourning if he loses a match. I thought it was incredibly distasteful to ay anything beyond congratulating Soderling for one of the achievements of the year.
nor, French public is bad public with all Spanish winning there Tour de France, Roland Garros or whatever (as they never win), it is not distasteful cause is truth

I agree. That was "distasteful". But Rafa is so sweet, and respectful always. It's going to be a great match!
Oh, Rafa was gracious as always, despie having a previous altercation where he said Soderling wasn't his favourite of players.
pdela, even if the French do have a vendetta against the Sanish, don't you think it's abit much to deny their right to cheer on a man who was about to achieve the impossible? And it's not as if the Roland Garros crowd had ever heckled Rafa or anything!
That's incidental to the point, and obviously rooted in a desire to see the man finally clinch a little bit of history for himself.
In fac, given that the affection for Federer was made so obvious, does it not reflect well on the crowd that they never begrudged Nadal his success even when he was destroying Roger seemingly without effort?

Wow! I never heard that, theoreticalboy! This information is great! This is getting better and better
Because it was amazing! I watched it after the fact, and even when I found out the score before finishing the match, I couldn't believe my eyes!
