I'm a guy and I think that women can be just as strong as men. A lot of people think that men are stronger (in every way) than women, but that's not true. Both genders are equal.

A few reasons. One, few are attracted to the game, fewer still go on to excel at it.
Nigel Short might have taken a lot of flack for being a "sexist mysongynist" but what he stated was essentially correct. Women did not show the same level of appitude that men do when it comes to chess. Yes, there are some exceptions, but this does invalidate the thesis.
Political correctness has forbidden us stating the obvious. On the same token, I am sure if one reseraches it, some intellectual pursuits may be shown to be better done by women. The world will not stop rotating on its axis if we state as such !
