Positions are like this are itself rare and anyways because this is online your opponent will resign even before the checkmate cause of the material advantage ONLY IF HE IS BIG BRAIN only then he might not resign.As for OTB it is much different resignations are rarer and most people are well expierenced so a lot of them are big brain.
yea.. i know how confusing it is..i still struggle to improve my endgame skills..i kinda hate endgame where i need to do triangulations because its not rare i tend to make mistakes or missed wins
N+B mate can be as frustrating as Q vs R endgame which i admit i am not really used to them..i always have no clue how many ideal moves played to mate in such endgames
Although you will very rarely need to perform the Bishop-and-Knight checkmate, it is not the *Checkmate* itself that is important, but the improved understanding of how the Bishop and Knight coordinate with each-other that you will possess after learning.
