1 - Because he never concedes easy wins, you have to beat him in the opening, the middlegame and in the endgame (I can remember only three games where he lost badly)
2 - Because he doesn't care for the result, but he is always prepared to win (he said "with black you don't expect to win" but he always plays risky openings with that color)
