Widgets and Gadgets

I have just created a chess blog a couple days ago, and I was wondering how to add the "Play me on chess.com" gadget. I attempted to add it using the add to blogger button. It showed up in the Layout tab, but I couldn't see it in the blog itself. Has anyone experienced these same problems or knows how to make it show up? Thanks!

The video is almost without sound. There is a Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V not shown (because the keyboard is not visible), but the sound of my fingers pounding on the keyboard at these moments are audible.
