Won My First Tournament!

It wasnt an officially rated tournament but I won tonights chess tournament here in good ole California. I ended up in the finals against my good friend and sparring partner and I decided to play a little bit of psychology by playing an opening I never use. I ended up getting an advantage by forking his rooks but he was able to come back and equalize. We both had a rook and 4 pawns on the kingside at the end and we agreed to a draw. He won his division 1600 and under and i won mine..1400 and under..I'm very happy today. I even got a medal..HAHA. Even patzers need awards, right?
