World Youth Results after Round 3

Sort:

The American squad has gotten off to a fast start after 3 rounds. As I type this at 1:33 PM Eastern Time, there are still some games going. If a player still has a game going, I will put an asterik next to his/her name, and edit the post when all the games are over.

Any link to see the games?

Yes, but only the top 10 or so boards in each section are broadcast.

Thanks!!!

I actually know Tan Ngyuen, Trung Ngyuen, and Andrew Zheng in real life.

I do know some of these players as well, most of them play in the same New Jersey tourneys as me and some I met at last year's world youth.

JMB2010

Uhhhh. Yeah

JMB2010

All US games have finished! I already updated the scores.

Oh, the Nguyens! (I just noticed you said that, my mind is working slow today) Yes, I have met them. As a matter of fact, I think I actually played Tan Nguyen at a recent tournament.

Abhishek2

how do you see the standings

JMB2010

http://www.wycc2012.com/pairs_results.html

When you get to the link, you can see what country, what round, and/or what section you want to see pairings and results from! Also, you can see games in the previous link I gave.

To be honest, the site is not very good. Actually, quite bad! :) I also don't know why chessdom doesn't cover all games... Is there a limit?

JMB2010

The games aren't all covered simply because I assume there aren't enough DGT boards, I guess.

piphilologist

looks like there are a lot of players from the USA there...

I qualified to play in U14 but couldn't go. Frown

chess-results.com is a good site for results, for example see the england results here

JMB2010

Yes, piphilologist's site is much, much better. The only thing the other site has better is the games. If I had gone to chessresults.com in the first place, it would have saved me a lot of work :-)

Abhishek2

Ugh, wish I could go there.

Maybe next year.

the sites are confusing, is there any way you can find the rankings.

Conflagration_Planet

Is Kackparov in it? He hasn't been posting lately.

JMB2010

For someone who may be having trouble accessing the site (or is too lazy to go there) you are allowed to pick ONE GAME that I will try to keep updated on this thread throughout the day.

JMB2010

Plus that person must be on the first 10 boards.
