There should be an additive rating system that is only based on accumulation of past competitions to really get an overview... ELO-System is deficient. You see people with 1000 Elo´s win most Blitz Chess Tournaments and Arena Battles....Masters are most of them time far below the threshold...when it comes to endurance quantity.

Look at this game, from 20 minutes ago, on lichess.com (I'm Black):
We both played like apes. I got the banana. (Arabian banana).

When I play, I don't look at my opponent's rating (in Lichess it's "Zen Mode", I recommend). And... sometimes, 1700 + rated players, give a good game, and sometimes, 2200+ rated players, play like they're mentally re______... so, I honestly don't think that your rating, especially rapid or faster, especially on the internet, actually matters.
