Aw! Ugh! Eww! That's disgusting! Isn't there a rule against profane images or something here?

This game happened a few months ago. A man came in and announced that he was the chess champion of his Navy barracks, and that he wanted a game against the best chess player he could find. The way the man talked, you would have thought it was a first-class world-beater.
I finally got tired of listening to him and gave him a game. He drew White.

Oh, man... that's pretty bad. 23 legal moves, 22 of which were winning, and he blew it with the one move that made it impossible to win! Did the game actually continue from there (if so, for about how long??) ?
Lol- now that I think about it, there really were a tremendous number of inaccuracies at the end; it may be a record, in fact (should've known from the get-go that this would be mentioned here).
A fitting end to a game with some of the most surprising moves ever played. It is truly fortunate (and rather surprising) that such a game has been preserved for posterity. My personal favourite move is 53. Qd8+??, but the daring fork 55. Qd4+?? is also a contender. I have to wonder how long it took the players to realise the game was over, and whether they had any idea what the result was.
I only mentioned it as a joke, in all fairness the worst game I've ever seen was given to me (I was asked to analyze it, it was played by an elementary schooler) and I was having trouble finding anything to say after witnessing such a travesty... here it is. I kid you not.. these moves were all actually played. Yes, this game really happened.. here is a very strong candidate for one of the worst games played.
A strong candidate, indeed! Truly a hilarious game, thanks for sharing. The only "travesty" is that you had to analyze such a game (I wouldn't have had much to say, either).
RealityMate, that game of yours takes the cake. Around move 60, I was thinking that a stalemate would top it off nicely... and whaddya know?
RealityMate, I couldn't stop laughing while playing through that game. That is by far the worst game I've ever seen.
When we were very young, my sister and I would start every single game this way, sometimes in different move sequences, but arriving at the same basic position. Is it any wonder that I later adopted the Stonewall attack as White?
Thanks for this great exemple of the 8 pawns attack, 8 pawns defense variation.
White's indecision in the 31th move was very funny.
My favourite move was the beautiful queen sacrifice in the 35th move, when the brave lady destroyed itself to get a nice check. As people say, if you see a check, do it, because it might be a mate...
The best game of chess ever played has been debated dozens of times, but what I'm interested in is: what's the WORST game of chess that you've ever seen (or, perhaps, been a part of...)? Now, when I say "worst", I mean in terms of blunders on both sides; games that were resigned on the first move, or ended in Fool's Mate/Scholar's Mate/mate on the 10th move (etc.), aren't especially "bad" (since the winners of such games played flawlessly, or close to it).
So... anyone? The more ?'s, the better!
