worst excuses ever

I had to hurry, my wife was waiting for me.

Excuses for most anything but mainly for losing a game.

Pieces got mixed up on the board.

I played chess all day and forgot to do my homework.

"I underestimated my opponent" - this was muttered by an old-timer whom I defeated on numerous occasions.I heard it on average once every third or fourth game he lost to me.

I got kidnapped by someone and they forced me to play bad chess.

During the game I received a call from Publishers Clearinghouse.  It turned out I really was already a winner.  In my excitement over winning $10 million, I momentarily forgot I was playing the game.  I ran back to the computer in a panic only to find I had lost on time.  I hate it when that happens!  It ruined my day.
