One time in a game when I was up a rook, I literally made a move that forced myself to sac my queen with no compensation and lose a rook in addition (otherwise checkmate). I think I had made the move with check too, so it was completely forced.

Don't ask how, but I won that game anyways.

Item 383 on Tim Krabbe's chess diary ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~timkr/chess2/diary.htm ) has the worst move ever:

A position where white has 52 legal moves, 51 of which are mate, but the 52nd forces black to mate white instead.

(of course, that's constructed, not a real game)

(I can't post diagrams from this computer)

I've done that before but I didn't lose a piece I said checkmate and it wasn't so it was a draw because we shaked hands.

In a tournament I once had an opponent try to checkmate me with a crooked queen move. I started to sign my scoresheet acknowledging defeat, when my eye fell on the move the queen had made before the checkmating one, and I realized that the queen had been on a square where she could not checkmate me from! I called over the tournament director and demonstrated how my opponent had made this long diagonal move from a white square to a dark one. My opponent, having touched the queen, was forced to move it elsewhere in a legal manner, resulting in his quick defeat. A crooked queen move--that was the worst move I ever saw!
