Dale, I think her name is Hilary, but it's up to you how to vote.
Pachman's trilogy Complete Chess Strategy, later abridged as the one volume Modern Chess Strategy, is terrific. Not much read these days as it was only ever published in English in the descriptive notation. The Dover publication of MCS is however still on catalogue, despite it being in the old notation which is well worth learning just to be able to read this timeless classic. Haven't read Pacman.

I love Pachman's games, he had a long time to think about chess strategy and nifty sacrifices unfortunately. But I also like playing pacman. Which is better?
