Lucky indeed, the Queenie can be a very dangerous foe if you let her get out of control, on or off the board. 
amandeep1, I would recommend the following technique: Whenever it's your move, pretend for a moment that it's actually your opponent's move. What good moves can your opponent make?
This will help you to see your opponent's threats. :)
But, of course, don't become obsessed with your opponent's threats. Just become aware of them.
