Marco - do you ever tire of posting absolutely inane garbage?
www.sergeykarjakin.com redirects automatically to http://magnuscarlsen.com/

You may think I am trolling, but this is an evidence that lots of things in this world is pre-arranged by The Illuminatis.
When I say that Earth is Flat, man never landed in the Moon, people think I am trolling...
That is all Illuminatti arrangements...
For exemple, I made an wonderful puzzle in NOV, 30, 2016:
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/11302016---the-winner-takes-it-all
But, for any reason (The Illuminatti may explain it), Daily Puzzle JUST COPIED my puzzle one day later:
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/daily-puzzles/12-1-2016-how-to-win-a-world-championship?page=1
And Daily Puzzle did NOT even mention the source...
This world is all dominated by The Illuminatti and we never know who they are.
lmao

Marco - do you ever tire of posting absolutely inane garbage?
Your post is typical from a Illuminatti member:
they try to descredit every attempt of those who shows the truth.
I am pretty sure you are an Illuminatti member, specially because of your scary avatar.
PEOPLE, WAKE UP!!
Go to youtube and search for FLAT EARTH; Moon landing farse...
There are tons of videos showing the truth and millions of views.
Slowly we will find the truth, TOGETHER!!!

If anyone wants to go to Sergey's real site, it's here http://www.skarjakin.com/
Since Sergey couldn't get his full name domain because of Carlsen's clever mind snatching it up, I would have gone with www.sergkarjakin.com .. Makes more sense. Unless of course Carlsen snatched that domain up too. lol

Taking that domain name away from Sergey was simply stated as a small phsycological edge over his competition. I believe it was for that reason only and very clever of Carlsen. As for my previous comment, every top player in the world has an ego. I'm sure if Karjakin had his full name available to him he would have preferred it.

Chess is a mind game. Carlsen plays it well. That's all I'm saying. The domain thing was a tiny mind game.

First, Russians and Chinese are not ones to cave in to Western standards. The value we place on a domain .com with our name on it is ridiculous. When the .com services became widespread in the early 2000's I felt I just had to have one. If I didn't have one, how would I survive? Now it's more like a booth at a convention to sell your stuff. People don't care about your location at the convention but of what you present.
"What is your Facebook account?" or "What is your Twitter account?" These questions are more in tune with interest than a personal website. I rarely get people worrying about website info over social media sites. So, getting a website with someone's name is not that big of a deal. The domain also is translated to an address which is hidden. If someone sends you a link to a long web address you expend the same energy in clicking the name than if it is shorter. I never type in chess.com in the browser, I just scroll down in the bookmarks and go.
If you are going to abbreviate a name to get a domain, I don't see why "serg" is any better than "s". If you want to do it with your name, go ahead. If I knew your full name, I can't say I would try part of your name before just the first letter. People are more likely to share the first name over their last name in a group of people. So, putting the first letter of a name and the full last name singles them out in the fewest characters. In the case of Ivana and Ivanka Trump, I might use Itrump and IkTrump. If you just did the the first part, you would have to add the "van' for nothing. And you saved an "a". What a deal!!
Similarly, we wouldn't know if the sergkarjakin meant Sergey or Sergei.
Who is worse off? Sergey for not getting a useless domain or someone who wanted it to redirect to Carlsen's site which serves no real useful purpose? Who here is boasting, "Look at me, I just spent 6 hours at Carlsen's site!!!"
If you go to Carlsen's site, all you see is him holding a chess board and scroll down further you get the dreaded black and white crappy app. I prefer a wooden chess set look. Using that app does really nothing for me. Going to that site doesn't really achieve what I was looking for. Chessexplained on Youtube and a few Daniel King videos here and there are where I focus my attention on. The live events with chess.com would be good if they didn't use Twitch. So, I don't bother with chess.com videos as much unless they have people like Hess, Yermo, Dlugy, Tatev when she was around, Krush when she was around, and Hesiman (where did that guy go?).
If you are going to redirect a domain somewhere, redirect it to a useful site. I don't even see where it is updated that he is the 2016 world champion. Wow, they can redirect Karjakin's name but they can't keep info on Carlsen up to date? That's like redirecting a site with the word Samsung in it to an Apple site with Ipods from 2010.
The Illuminati are way behind in the times I guess.
I agree with almost everything, except: the illuminatti are ALWAYS AHEAD in the times, because they own all the best resources (money, techs and else).

The domain thing was A TROLL by Magnus.
Magnus is a troll, as himself showed in some videos, like this:

YES, the Illuminatti exist and I show you some links where you can find them:

MarcoBR, you must be one of the most boring dudes in this forum.
Regardless if you are trolling or not, all your iluminatti and conspiracy theories are not interesting to anybody.

i like conspiracy theories because they can help you unravel the truth sometimes.
they just found a picture of Amelia Bedelia Earhart and now we know that she was captured by the Japanese. Her plane crashed in the Marshall Islands.
The Japanese are still lying to us that they did not capture Amelia

Except for the fact that picture appeared in a book before she ever disappeared.

Magnus was smart enough and quick enough to buy the domain before Serjey could even think of it. Chess is very mental, very phsycological. Magnus started winning the mind game with that redirection of the site. You gotta love that mindset. Give credit where credit is due.
What credit? Fischer himself said he believes in playing good moves, not psychology. Too bad chess is gone in this direction.
I wonder if Bobby said that after trying to psyche-out Tal (a master of psychology at the board) and getting out-witted by him. Fischer would play the mind games harder than anyone. Just look at the '72 match against Spassky - by the end Bobby had made Boris as paranoid as he was.
