As for threads being boring....I find the most interesting threads on this site.  Usually they are about chess and it makes me feel good to be a part of this community.

I want to thank all the members who post meaningful content in threads and on their blogs, especially  batgirl, who always has great posts.

The minute i read the name of the forum i knew it was from that loner/friendless/attention seeking  cheater1.The most corniest person on chess.com.You see a forum by him and you can guess what its about,obviously a topic made to gather controversy.Well now to my point,cheater1 this is the best forum you have ever made.I must say i agree with you going into hiding, i guess you will be doing us a great favour.It will be like an early christmas present  for Chess.com.

Hey, by the way, thanks for the thread, cheater. 78 posts in one day, and everyone can't resist having a say. It seems a lot of people regard basement dwellers as subhuman or something. They must all live in luxurious lofts and be utter successes at life, eh? Haha, wait... if they were so fantastically situated themselves, I can hardly imagine what kind of pleasure they'd derive from trying to take a stab at the conditions of your lifestyle unless they were somewhat petty. Ah well, it takes all kinds, right?

Anyways, it seems something of your initial point has been proved. Some of these people must've been pretty starved for something to do and you provided them a nice place to play.

I really need to work on my sense of humor, for sure. One day I'll say something that people will find funny, I just know it! I just have to keep believing in myself, I think. Oh, but in all the textbooks I've been working with in hopes of increasing my humor abilities, one thing I've found is that if you're making a joke it's good to aim it to your audience's frame of reference, so like... if you were making that cellar dweller joke to a room full of people that had read that obscure book by some GM it would've really gone over, right?

It's sad to read posts like this. Cheater obviously has some problems, like most of the people that walk the earth, to some degree.  Cheater, maybe you should put some faith in God and pray for HIM to heal you.

Excellent posts! By now you all know that most of my posts are NOT about chess but I always try to throw something about chess in. I like this Forum "General Chess Discussion". I like the people that lurk here. There is always good debate here. When I post in the other forums, it's like a ghost town. No one's there.

I do try to keep it interesting. I do exaggerate a bit. I NEVER outright LIE. Think of my posts as a diversion from your hum-drum lives. A little spice added to keep it interesting.

And I thought I had it bad...I cant compete with living in a car or sleeping in an ATM booth.

As for Rowling, I have read several of her books--didn't love them or hate them--they were just written at a level beneath my liking. It's like comparing Star Trek novels and Tolkien.

It always amazes me that after one year here the people that still go out of their way to come to my Topic and degrade me about how I am ruining chess by cheating..er...um consulting a computer. GET A LIFE!!!! After one year here, I am playing only my second game...a vote chess game (which I am winning by the way....check out "The Big Showdown" in the group vote chess matches). As I said before, I am BURNT out with chess. I derive more pleasure talking about chess than playing it.

Thanks chess.com for the One Year Trophy. I was expecting something more and I deserve something more.

cheater1 makes me laugh. He (or she) has a great sense of humor. Obviously Erik likes him also or else cheater1 would be toast.

Keep posting cheater1. You liven up the sometimes really boring and (UGH) repetitive posts such as cheating on chess.com, who is the greatest chess player, what openings should I use, ad infinitum.
