Youngest player to qualify for candidates?

Just a random curiosity... does anyone know the answer to this? I think it was Carlsen in 2007 (if you count the FIDE world championship then), so Carlsen would have been 16 or 17...

Sorry to burst the bubble guys but Bobby Fischer attended the 4th Candidates Tournament, 1959 at only 16 years old! Remarkable!!! (In those days, Candidates tournament endured over two months and this one was 56 days!)

Carlsen and Fischer were both 16 1/2 when playing their first Candidates. The youngest player to qualify for the Candidates is Carlsen though, he did that in an event (World Cup 2005) that started when he was 14 years old, even if he had turned 15 when it finished. Fischer was half a year older when he qualified through the Interzonal in 1958.
