I'm going to double my USCF 800p (from my scholastic days) rating to 1600 in OTB play. Hopefully not too difficult as I was around 1800 on ICC about a year ago when I last actively played.
I also hope to introduce more structure into my chess study.
I am planning to cutdown on all of my different games that I am playing right this very moment for my 2010 New Years's Chess Resolutions. .
I hope I will finally learn, that after I clicking on "submit move" icon, the "back" icon on my browser wont takeback that move.
Does anyone have a progress report on their 2009 resolution?
Mine was to break 2000 and sustain a rating above it, however while having accomplished that on paper, I don't really feel like I've attained it fairly since my winning streak of late is against lower rated players than I (the result a combination of playing exclusively tournament and team matches for the latter half of the year while I've improved to my current performance level and a need to ramp down my game load in advance of my vacation at the end of the year preventing me from starting games with more fairly matched opponents).
For 2010? Develop and master an opening repertoire is probably a good goal for me.
What's your 2010 New Year's "CHESS RESOLUTION"?
