Another frequent mistake I make is that I keep losing to whatever player with more than 200 points beyond my rating.
If the player has more than 200 points below me, however, I always seem to magically win! I have to overcome this weakness of losing to someone just because of the insignificant fact that his number is higher.

i think my most common mistake is missing ways to get extremely active because i'm too focused on static things like material and pawnstructure
Yeah I have that as well.
Another one for me is making lazy, standard looking moves in postitions where i really should be looking for an actual plan
