2.2 Crashes on iOS 3.1.3

Hey,

First post on the forum, so I am not sure if this in the right section, if it is  not, please move it.

I am posting because of the ipod (iphone) app of chess.com. Since it updated to 2.2, it no longer works on my first generation ipod touch (iOS 3.1.3). The version before did work. Now it crashes the moment you start it. Anyone else with the same problem/any fix possible?

For now, I will go back to the last version, but I hope it will get fixed :)

How do you go back to the older version?  Restore from the computer?

I have the same problem (see my post in the other thread which you commented on as well).

Yes, you can go back to an old version via the computer. Do not update the app on your pc, and delete the chess app on your ipad/ipod. Now, link your ipad/ipod to the pc and synchronize (including apps). Your pc will say that the pc version is an old version, and if you are sure you want to install it. Say yes and it will install the old version.

Make sure you delete the app from your ipad/ipod before syncing! Otherwise the ipod/ipad will overwrite the old version on the pc.

If you already downloaded/overwrote the new version on your pc, you will have to download the old version from another link (maybe via google?). Than delete the version on your pc by hand (in windows via windows explorer) and paste the old version in the same place. Then you should be able to do the same. (Make sure you download a clean version!)
