hello, I am currently playing an online game where my opponent has a knight, a king, &a bishop pawn. I have a bishop, & a king. We are 26 moves currently with out a pawn move. How do I ask for or claim a draw under the 50 moves without a pawn move rule? Anyone who could give me some information on this subject or tell me who to contact, I would greatly appreciate thank you.

It's 50 moves each, isn't it?

Thank you, by that definition there has been one capture & if both turns count as a "move" than we are technically at 12 moves. I would still like to know what the procedure is to request the draw if it comes to that. thank you.

A draw can be proclaimed by a player if:

1. 100 consecutive plies have occurred that are not captures and not pawn moves. The proclamation can be made at any time after that criterion has been met.

or:

2. A move has just been made by one's opponent that reconfigures the board ( the exact same material in the exact same squares ) as it was on at least two other moves. This type of proclamation can only be made on the proclaimer's move. Either immediately after the proclaimer's opponent does it; or, If the proclaimer is the one who re-reconfigures the board, then he must "demonstrate" that he can make the move without actually removing his hand from the piece ( that way, the proclaimer is still "on move" ).

thank you for the further definitions, but I still don't know what the proper procedure is to ask for the draw besides just hitting the draw request button wich I'm still uncertain whether my opponent has to respond to that or not.

Also, I would add that a player is not obligated to claim a draw.
