Alarm Feature

I was wondering why don’t Chess.com develop this feature. Which is basically, I choose specific players and turn the notifications on for those player. Whenever those player start a game I get notifications. Basically, as exactly as YouTube does. When someone uploads a video I get notifications. I suggest that you put this feature in someone’s profile. And in case I decided to get notifications from Hikaru for example, I go into his profile and I turn this feature.

Therefore, more people will visit chess.com more frequently. So it’s not just benefit the members of chess.com, but also can lead to a financial advantages.

Doesn't following someone accomplish this?

It does not !

Btw, what do you mean following someone? Sending a friendship invite, is that what you mean?

Well, then not everyone accepts the invite. Try to send to Naka or Eric Hansen..et cetera

"Following" is a separate item from "Friending".  It alerts you when someone posts content- blogs, forums, articles. etc.

I guess it doesn't alert you when a game is played.
