Android App Disables WiFi - Warning! No Network

Each time I open up my Chess.com app on my HTC One M8, my WiFi is shut off and a dialog pops up saying "Warning! No Network" when I try to sign in. The option comes up to click on "Network Settings," which takes me out of the app, and my WiFi connection is immediately restored.
If I reboot my phone, it will work for a short period, but soon goes back to disabling my network connection.
