Android app will not let me change pieces or board color

Hi there. I'm using an Android 4.4.2 tablet with the Chess.com app.

When I select the Custom theme, under the Pieces and Board menus I see no previews of piece types, and when I select one it hangs forever with a "Downloading Pieces/Board" notification.

This needs to be fixed.

What version is your app?

Though, it may have issues on older Android versions. I'm on 6.0 and it works well.

I had an issue on an older version where something similar happened. Rotating the screen would kick it off.

I'll try and test on my tablet later. I know it is older than v6 but I don't recall what version exactly.

Tried rotating the screen. Didn't help.

Is my version of the app the latest?

 Interesting, everything works when I log out, but when logging back in, it resets these settings.

Maybe 

I'm on the beta so can't say for sure. But that is likely the newest regular release.

You might try clearing the app cache too.

I've tried clearing the cache. And data. Didn't help.
