Any way to stop click to move? - Chess Forums - Page 2

I am constantly getting moves I dont want because of the click to move feature, as I will drag a piece somewhere, then change my mind and put it off to the side where it wont move, then click to get rid of the highlight, and end up accidently clicking a square that it can move to. Is there no way to

Same problem here, completely threw away a match because of the click to move function. The move method option doesn't even do anything in the settings.

Please allow us to turn off click-to-move! It costs me games due to accidentally hanging a piece and I also get to enjoy the occasional failed puzzles because I click a square while thinking

+1 - please implement DRAG-TO-MOVE-ONLY and CLICK-TO-MOVE-ONLY and an option for "BOTH" so everyone is happy. Come on guys. I'm a software developer, if you want me to take a look at the code and help out I'll do it. Thanks!

Came back here to tell you another click-to-move failure. I wanted to move my rook to avoid getting forked, instead I click on my king before, then I clicked on the rook, causing me to castle. I ended up getting forked with a knight, and losing both my queen and my rook. Thanks for the click to move feature.

If you're all tired of this, Lichess has click-to-move, drag, or both. Lichess is an open source platform where anybody can submit code change requests so problems like these don't linger.

Also, this is based off of if you are playing touch or clock.

Yeah what is up with this why doesn't chess.com fix this? Very frustrating. I too have lost several games because of this.

Lost a game due to this stupid feature. Can we contact an admin or someone so they can get this fixed, it wont take them more than an hour, they are earning 10 million a year can't fix simple stuff...

make a report ticket, crying about it in the forums won't get it the attention it needs from staff that can actually file a bug report to the developers
