Was talking to someone recently through private messages here (they reached out from the forums) and I can’t tell if for once I’m actually talking to someone perceptive who can read and converse… or I’m talking to some sort of bot.

The site doesn't use any bots like that.

Oh ya I wasn’t accusing chess.com of planting them. Do you guys have detection systems in place to know if it’s bots commenting and posting? I’m not a big internet guy anymore, but even a few years ago bots where on Reddit impersonating users. The account has played 3 or 5 games and lost them all. Is there a requirement of games played before posting to forums?

I don't think there is anything in place for that. There are some check and restrictions on posting to try an prevent spam related things though.
