Chess.com woks best in chrome.
I recently had this problem but it cleared up after a while.
Make sure you hit "save" after you change your settings

I had this Problem to.., you can fix this by going to settings in your opera browser, and type in the Settings search bar " shortcut " , then you want to turn off the " Enable mouse gesture " Option. This Should fix the problem
