Authorized linked account closed for reason "multiple accounts"

My main account DanieleMex has been closed for reason "multiple accounts", that's what the email says.

DanieleMex and CharlieFleed have been properly authorized and linked, with a form and everything, by support (Greta) back in December 2022.

I have 22k games on DanieleMex plus all my puzzles history and puzzle rush records.

Please reopen DanieleMex.

You will need to contact support directly. This issue can not be resolved through the forums, only staff can reopen an account.

Unfortunately support has closed all channels available to me, they have ignored my requests for months, they banned me on reddit and blocked me on X, this is why I was writing here. It feels like someone has a personal grudge against me.

Translate this into english: A un amigo mio le paso algo parecido. En soporte jamás le contestaron y una vez recibió un mensaje que nunca más van a leer solicitudes de soporte. Lo que puedes intentar hacer es que un amigo que tengas y que tenga cuenta de chess.com,pida soporte por ti. O otra cosa es solicitar soporte desde otro dispositivo diferente,que no esté relacionado con tu cuenta. No está garantizado que te abran la cuenta,pero lo puedes intentar. ¡Ánimos!

Members can't open tickets for other members.

Translate this: Lo sé pero como favor personal,dices que por ejemplo un amigo mío le cerraron la cuenta,abrieron un ticket pero nunca le contestaron. Les dices que hay un ticket existente y si lo pueden ver.

Translate this: por cierto,cómo puedo ser moderador como tú? Si alguna vez un moderador se equivoca,cómo puedo denunciarle? Y una última pregunta los de soporte técnico tienen más "poder" que tú?

It would be kind to help someone else, wouldn't it? But the priorities here seem different.

Does anybody know if there have been similar cases? Maybe some automated script that didn't take authorized linked accounts into consideration? It's hard to believe that someone took the effort to single out just my main account now, when I haven't had any games or interactions for months.

Staff won't interact with a member in behalf of another member.

You have to be at least 18, have an account that is in good standing and at least a year old

Support has more rights/access than moderators.

Linked accounts are manual, not automated, so it's possible a closure impacting one account might impact one authorized account and not another.

What I meant is some automated tool that looks for multiple accounts could have flagged my main account ignoring that I was authorized to have two linked accounts. If linked accounts are indeed manually handled, it's a possibility.

But if this is not the result of some automated false positive and someone manually decided to close my main, then ignoring my support request is really messed up.

I don’t believe that automated tools are aware of authorized alternate accounts. That said, depending on the reason for an account closure, other accounts are usually closed, regardless of if they were authorized alternates or not.

  • Rule violations on one account will affect both accounts. If you are abusive and get muted on one account, both accounts will be muted. If one account is closed for cheating, the other will also be closed.

I don't know why you keep insisting on rule violations on linked accounts. There are no rule violations here.

I stated in my first post that my main account was closed for reason Multiple Accounts.

There are no rule violations and in fact not even games or any interactions with anybody for months in any of my two linked accounts.

I restate it because the staff member that would have closed your account may have done it for additional reasons

Look, I don't want to offend, but you always talk as if you were part of the real staff of chess.com and you also give answers that you believe, or what intuition tells you. Most of the things you say can't be verified. In the sense that I told you that the staff could help for someone else on my behalf there is nothing or any article that says that. Who says it? You? Are you making it up? How do we know that what you say is true? You help a lot, but I think the community has to remember that you are only a volunteer and that those who will be right and have enough experience are the real support team. Those in support have more power and authority than you. They get paid. By the way, in case you want to close my account for saying this (I don't know if you can) I'm going to take a screenshot of everything. Thank you
