automatic timeout

Have seen scenario when a player about to loose, the player stops playing and expect that opponent may resign due to long wait time.
An automatic timeout should be set if a player doesn't play for long time

It is... But only if they log out...
JustOneUSer
They are automatically reported for doing this

also difficult to evaluate a fair timeout. On long games you may think for a good 20 or 30 mn. Like you I've been frustrated and don't play long games anymore only online games.

I am currently in a live 15|10 game (winning, but equal in points), where my opponent does not move. The automatic resign functions started counting down like it should, but then starts over like every 15 seconds. Why is that? It is very annoying. I also have this issue in 10m and 5|5 games.

Eventually i win on (normal) time when that happens, but in the current game that took 11 minutes..

Is there an answer to this?  It's been happeneing to me more and more.  When playing a straight ten minute game, it's REALLY annoying to wait six or seven minutes because of an unsportsmanlike player.

I play slow chess on the Live server, 45|45.  My issue is that a poor internet connection might lapse several times over the course of the game.  Every time my opponent disconnects, however, the auto-resign counter starts.  He has one minute to reconnect or resign despite the fact that he might have 35 minutes remaining on his clock.  I actually find myself searching Settings for an option to waive auto-resignation!  Different circumstances seem to require different disconnection behavior.  How about a Setting?
