Back and forwards buttons in IOS App for puzzles

I can't seem to find the back and forwards buttons when doing puzzles on my iPad. In the web site I can see the move that led to the situation by pressing the back and forwards, but this appears to be missing from the app. Is this a setting somewhere or is it just not there?
