Ban in live chess.

I've been banned from the live chess. People tell me that the reason for that could be that I aborted too many games. I wasn't aware of the fact that there was a limit to the number of games a player is allowed to abort...

So I am really sorry for this error, but I really don't know how to fix it, the message that pops open when I try to play sais that I should play a lot of fair-play games before everything will be allright again. But I can't play any games, because I'm banned, so how can I play enough fair-play games when I cannot play any games at all?

Please help.

Thanks!

Well, I would go to the Top-Right corner of this page and press "Help." Then, I would type in in the Help and Support search box, "Fair Play Policy." It shows you the policy for Fair-Play on Chess.com. I think that rule just got placed on Chess.com because all of a sudden, everyone was complaining about being not able to play. Well, you can still play games, just not with strangers. You can only play games with friends. So, for every time you aborted a game, you have to play 1 game with a friend. I would read the Fair Play Policy, so this won't happen again to you. I will give you the link to the Fair Play Policy:

I have the same problem. I did not know the rules. I thought that an abort means that I do not feel that the other party is at my level. Also, I was disconnected by circumstanses beyond my control.

Can someone tell me how to be reinstated? Help

Remove all restrictions in your settings.

Send a friend request to everyone here.  http://www.chess.com/groups/view/fair-play-transgressor-rehabilitation-centre

Challenge everyone. Accept all challenges.

If someone is not at your level in live chess crush them and move on.

The abort rules are to prevent people from perpetually aborting games so they would only be playing as white, which some people did before this was put in place.

Rating snobbery is pathetic. If you think the opponent is weaker than you, then prove it by beating them.

Besides, if everyone refused to play lower-rated opponents, no games would be played at all.

If you want to discuss this problem, you can go to my forum through this link:

http://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/fair-play-policynot-being-able-to-play-other-people

There are also 3 links on that forum. A link to Contact Chess.com Help and Support, a link to my blog about the Fair Play Policy, and the link to the Fair Play policy. I think everyone should go there to discuss the aborting problem and people who do not have friends that are restricted from playing other people.

I just don't understand why you would continually abort games ... if you don't want to play them why accept / challenge in the first place???
