Battery drain on iPhone

It is a battery killer. I turned off all notifications but still, you need to open it, make your moves, then kill it. If you leave it open, it will drain your battery faster than any app I've ever seen, and that's no joke.
Confirm that it warms the iPhone also...must be pinging the heck out of the server, probably to try to support blitz/live play. Suggest a way to disable that.
Hi, I noticed that the chess.com app drains my battery extremely fast when I play live chess on my iPhone 3GS, much faster than any other app. Also the phone gets warm on the back. Is this a know issue? Is there a fix? Right now, I loose many games because the battery runs empty during games.
