being harassed by a mod...

On a recent topic of mine, I wanted to notate in the game a move as brilliant (!!) and a mod has been "hijacking" that thread with his engine analysis showing the engine giving it just one ! and then has proceeded to continue heckling that the move wasn't "brilliant" and I'm not allowed to call it "brilliant". I have tried to report the mod for harassment. I tried to block the guy before realizing he was a mod. He won't stop and he continues to rile me up with his comments that are telling me I cannot call the move "brilliant" even though it's *MY OWN ANALYSIS*. Is there a way to make him stop? I do not believe that a mod of the forums should be intentionally behaving in a way that is instigative and provocative.

You can open a ticket with support and they can pass it to the moderation management. Though I can't say that would be considered harassment or not.

He did not come off that way to me and despite my repeated statements about this, he continued onward.

I really wasn't trying to be mean. I just pointed out the current Chess.com definition of a "brilliant" move.

Hundreds of players post their moves on the forum asking whether or not their moves meet the definition. They understand that other people will read their posts and give their opinions.

Many people point out that the chess.com definition isn't really accurate.

I thought you might be one of those people. I thought your move was a nice one even if the Chess.com computer didn't think it merited the "brilliant" label.

I will ask everyone who reads this to look at your thread and give their unbiased opinion as to whether or not I was harassing you.

Number one, it's *MY NOTATION*. If I want to mark a move as brilliant, that's *MY OPINION*! I was not using engine analysis. Number two, Martin Stahl fully explained to you how the engine reads it. I asked you multiple times to cease and desist. You were objectively harassing me. PERIOD! I hope you are removed from your position as a moderator.

If you submitted a ticket, I believe the post has achieved its goal. Keep doing your analysis and enjoy your games, possibly just a mis- understanding. Good luck on future matches!
