Best Move Arrows don't appear

I think Martin_Stahl has the technical side of this issue right, as far as most people go.

And he is certainly helping this discussion in patiently pointing this out to people new to this thread, who are still wondering if it is them or chess.com.

Anyway I don't like the "Relax, It's not a bug, it's a 'non-feature'" - notion of his summaries.

This is so basic and so drastically lacking within the sourrounding features of simple analysis (non-game-review), that to me this is a HUGE bug, that definitely needs more fixing and less getting-used-to-it.

So I'm still happy about everyone voicing their discontent here, even if the technical side of it has now sufficiently been explained. And please do use the "report bug" feature of the website, otherwise nothing will ever be done to fix this, as it seems.

I very much agree. Reportedly it was available on web before without running a game review, but it got removed. I can't help to think this was deliberately done in order to incentivize people to buy the paid plan — which I don't blame them for, but I wish there was more transparency regarding this issue.

Pretty wild thing to have work on mobile and not on web. Makes it really difficult to analyze puzzles to figure out how a position progresses after the puzzle, since of course those moves weren't played and game review isn't available.

Same problem here (tested in Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave). Arrows are not displaying. I have option in settings enabled. The app works fine.

Best move only shows after a Game Review has been completed on the game and the option is on.

yes, that's the whole point of this discussion, exactly what you said. Best move should show in analysis just as in mobile.

It does if a review is run on website. There are differences between the apps and website.

Same issue. Enabling "Show best moves" in Analysis - Interface doens't help. Nothing can get these arrows to show. I don't know why on earth I pay for Diamond subscription here anymore.

Why pay for less when you can get more for free?

Im going to the "other" place that is free and where this works perfectly.

The beta version just released with an option to show the best move after the engine gets yo a depth of 14

I'm not in the beta, but I just noticed the option while analyzing a puzzle and it works! Wooo 🤠
