I usually play on Chess.com on my break at work.  They started to block websites that have games.  Does anybody know if there is a back door way to get on to Chess.com?

just use a proxy?

A VPN tunnel works, too. Of course, consider what you may happen if they find you circumventing their rules. chess.com via your cell phone is a safer option.

A simple solution that could possibly work (depending on how the site is blocked) is just going to 67.201.34.176 which is the ip address for chess.com.

I recommend using Mobile Chess at work.

Yeah, my school blocks chess.com too.

How about actually working at work? We're in a recession and it won't take much for an employer to chop heads for even the most minor infraction.

try

wap.chess.com

but do not know it works or not in your country

Renoroc, you're crazy.

and if you are in school, your FIRST priority should be improving your grades while learning as much as possible about everything available to you.

instead of playing chess while in school.

besides that, if your grades are as high as you can possibly get them (top notch), that will make it difficult for your folks to say NO to anything you want to ask for. - within reason, of course.

You will find it easier to get them to take time to go with you to chess tournaments or anything else that you want them to take time and effort to do with you.

think about it.

working at work? that's surely not the attitude that got everyone into this fine economic situation! Foot in mouth

Avatar of NotKasparov

My grades can't get any higher   :)

Usually when I want to log on it's in Java class, where I have lots of free time that I can't do anything productive with.  But I can see where you're coming from.

bring your personal computer. office computer is for working.

Manchero, government intervention is what got us into this fine economic situation.

I agree with Renroc. Play chess when off duty. Work at work. It's a simple ethic of doing for your employer what he or she is paying you to do.
