Can anyone explain to me what the plus and minus scores for different moves actually mean? I just lost five points on the chess Tactics (number 42242) when the move I made had a score of 20.44 and the move I apparently should have made had a score of plus 10.79? Can you explain the scoring system please?

Sometimes the analysis used on some older tactics might not have been deep enough or the engine used to generate the analysis preferred the line given. Up to a bout a depth of 14 ply, the engine liked the move given in the tactic.
It appears that one should probably be reported so it can either be modified or removed, since the other line is much better. edit: I reported it
