Can I be told by the administrators why a certain Chess.com member blocked me?

A certain Chess.com member not only has blocked me from commenting on a thread, she has even blocked any communication from me as to asking why this was done. I honestly do not remember any incident that would have brought this about.  Her name is Destiny. If I am not privy to this information, I`ll respect that and forget about it and move on.

How would the admins know? Everyone has the right to block- for reason or for no reason. Admins aren't involved.

Give it up.

There could be an optional forum to fill out when blocking another user,  where the blocker would have a message or other notification sent to the blockee explaining why they were blocked.

Otherwise,  if no information is given, the blockee could just appoint a potential explanation themselves until new information comes to light,  if ever.  Personally,  if I were ever blocked,  I would make a forum post and poll to vote for why they did it unless they wanted to speak up themselves.

Cheers!

I do think that someone who is blocked should be identified in a conversation. You can have a back and forth for days and all of the sudden, one side stops.
