My opponent accepted the draw
Can I withdraw a Draw offer?

ohh that is sad...the sad thing is that there is nothing you can do about that if you press draw you can't take it back... i think

Hello, I accidentally pressed "Offer Draw" in a daily game in a winning position. Can I do anything about that?
That will need to be filed under oops and lesson learned. If you see a pop up come up on screen read it thoroughly before hitting yes or no. Draw was accepted game over.

I just did this. Accidentally double clicked the "offer draw" button. What's lovely is that the "are you sure, YES" button appears immediately under the offer draw button, so you if you accidentally double click, you are hosed.
Why cannot we retract a draw offer within a few seconds???

The same is true in OTB games under FIDE rules... once you offer a draw, the offer CANNOT be retracted.

so unfair....
OTB chess doesn't have the problem of miss-clicks, true... but then, online chess doesn't have the "Touch-move" problem.
Six of one, half-a-dozen of the other...

Its like comparing apples and oranges. There's so much that goes into both OTB and online. For example, the "are you sure" "yes" button appears right under the mouse once you click the "offer draw" button. That's UI design.
Also, last I checked, OTB didn't allow you to "analyze" positions using a program. You can literally move pieces around online without committing to a move. How's that for moving pieces without taking your finger off/ Just another example of how the two formats are different, and don't necessarily have to be treated the same.
Holding OTB and online to the exact same literal rules is pretty weak in terms of reasoning. There's so much going on that's different in each format.
