Cannot start game - 'Starting soon...'

I can't seem to find anything to say servers are down but I canot start a live game, just stays starting soon or assigns a player and auto aborts.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Would be good to get a server status page.

I suspect that chess.com is suffering from a DDoS attack. Their services are protected by cloudflare, and my ping times to CF's edge routers is ~20ms but my ping to chess.com's application servers is ~60ms, and it looks like connections to live.chess.com or live2.chess.com is struggling. So maybe an pplication (layer 7) DDoS attack?

Pretty sure that's not the case today.

Those ping times above are from the network layer, but the latency bar on the web page had me at 1/4. So is it a SRE problem?

Can't say for sure what exactly you might be seeing between you and the site. I do know staff found an issue and have made some changes that should have fixed the issue experienced with new seeks for some members.

Yeah, still not working for me either.

So, apparently when I posted earlier they still had some issues. Everything should be back to normal now.
